Tribulations of Mark: Part 6

The Court Room

The police land-rover drove along Moi Avenue switching between lanes without courtesy while overtaking. The police vehicle was carrying a group of around eight suspects. At the back of the land-rover sat three stone faced police officers preventing the suspects from jumping out. 2012 General Elections To be Held On 4th March 2013

Controversy is now brewing up in Kenya over when the 2012 general elections should be held. We have a working constitution which should be followed and implemented to the letter. So it makes no sense to start arguing when the elections should be held, it is something straight forward, even a small kid can be able to get it straight.

We overwhelmingly voted for the new constitution on August 4th 2010 and thus we demand that our leaders should honour it, otherwise there would be no need of having it in the first place. It is high time our leaders stopped taking us for granted. Our Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister, Mutula Kilonzo is suggesting December 2012, is he really following the Kenyan Constitution?

UPDATE
Things have changed and become 'elephant'. And this is the reason:

'Polls will be on 4th March, 2013
election date
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has announced that the next general elections will be held on Monday, 4th March, 2013. Speaking at a press conference held in Nairobi and attended by Commissioners, the IEBC chairman said that the Cmmission had widely consulted and considered the options of the court ruling on the date of the elections.
The chairman Mr. Issack Hassan said the two coalition principals, the Prime Minister and the President had failed to agree on a date for the elections thus leaving the Commission with the option of determining the date from the end of term of the current parliament.'

The question is for you Kenyans, when do you want to go to the polls? And when you go to the polls, what kind of leaders are you going to elect?
